Data Collection
World Beer Directory collects limited non-personally identifying information your browser makes available whenever you visit a website. This log information includes your Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your query and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser. We use this information to operate, develop and improve our services. World Beer Directory collects email addresses from users who want to receive newsletters, articles, and industry information. These email addresses will not be sold, traded or otherwise given to a third party. You may unsubscribe from these emails at anytime.
Information Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or give away your personally identifying information to anyone. Unless noted, all of your information is strictly confidential and will only be used to enhance your experience at our site.

The World Beer Directory reserves the right to send email and newsletter notifications to the World Beer Directory Users and Members in current and future efforts to enhance the users’ and members’ experience on the World Beer Directory. Such notifications may be, but are not limited to; retrieval of member’s password, updates concerning the web site, and monthly or periodic newsletters concerning the content of the web site. The World Beer Directory reserves the right to include advertisements in the monthly or periodic newsletters it send out to it’s users and members. In order to opt out of the email and or newsletter notifications the user or member must delete and discontinue their member profile.

World Beer Directory’s Privacy Policy will change from time to time. We expect most changes to be minor, but there may be changes that are more significant. Changes to the Policy may occur with or without notice to the World Beer Directory users and members and the changes will be posted on this page. Blogs & Forums
World Beer Directory is not responsible for messages that are posted by our users. We do however, reserve the right to omit and or edit messages at our discretion. Severe or continuous abuse of the system may result in a suspension or an immediate termination of the user’s account.
Ratings
The World Beer Directory staff loves beer and the art of making beer. We are always in search of a better beer! That said, – we are not responsible for the ratings posted on our site. The ratings are posted by our users and are not necessarily the opinions of World Beer Directory and our staff. If we discover that someone is abusing the system, we will either send them a warning or terminate their account.
Data Entry
World Beer Directory’s database contains several thousand beers. Because the database is so large, typos and double entries will occasionally occur. If we find that a beer is listed twice, we will delete one entry and either delete or move the ratings to the one that remains.
Links to other Sites
World Beer Directory has links to other websites. We do not monitor these sites and can not be responsible for their content or what they do with your information. If you discover that one of our links is inappropriate, inactive, or incorrect, please notify us immediately.
Compliance with legal process
We may disclose personal information if we are required to do so by law or we in good faith believe that such action is necessary to (1) comply with the law or with legal process; (2) protect and defend our rights and property; (3) protect against misuse or unauthorized use of World Beer Directory on the Internet; or (4) protect the personal safety or property of our users or the public.
